End of August approaching, depression.....and more masks

I haven't done a lot this month, though do have a few more masks to add.
It hasn't been a good month. We had to say goodbye to our lovely static caravan due to a change of circumstances. I am still very sad about it, I loved out little get-away to the sea.
Our son has had the first of his surgeries on his foot/leg, he is recovering well, still in a cast for another 2 weeks, then should get a walking boot for a while.
We also had some sad times with our daughter's best friend/almost sister-in-law, getting very ill. She was moved into the hospice and I was able to visit her before she grew her wings. She was only 26 but had fought all of her life, battling against cystic fibrosis, it is too cruel.
Her funeral was held last week, a celebration of her life. It was very touching, but very sad.
She was auntie to our granddaughter. She will be remembered to our granddaughter, she will know of  the love her auntie had for her during the first 8.5 months of her life.
Sadness has been an unwanted friend this month.

Masks - let me add the latest batch: 341 - 350

August already?

Well I don't know how we got to August so fast,
I seem to have lost July somewhere along the line.
I did go on holiday to our caravan with our daughter, her partner and our
granddaughter. Alas it turned out to be our last time there as
circumstances have forced us to sell it - hubby is there packing up the last
of our belongings to bring home on Saturday. The site has bought
it back off us, so they get the keys as hubby leaves for home.
I am very sad about it. It was lovely being right by the sea
and I did so love our static, our seaside home.
Our dog will miss it too, he loved being there and swimming in the sea.
I will never go back there, I couldn't bear to be close to something
special that we have now lost.

Our son goes into hospital next week for surgery on his leg and foot.
There may be follow-up surgeries afterwards, we have to see.
I guess my time will be taken up with follow up appointments.
He will decide, eventually, whether to have his other leg and foot done.

I will try and get some more masks finished and uploaded soon.

Happy August.
